While culinary practices and eating habits have undergone significant change over the past twenty-five years, shared mealtimes—particularly dinner—remain strongly valued in contemporary family life. The tension between the persistence of communal eating and the increasing scarcity of time devoted to food preparation and serving has reshaped everyday meal formats. In response, meals are frequently prepared as one-pot or mixed dishes that prioritize efficiency without abandoning the social ritual of eating together. The hybrid bowl–plate series was designed to accommodate these evolving practices, as well as emerging needs for greater mobility within the home. Its generous rims provide an improved grip, facilitating ease of handling during preparation, serving, and consumption.
