Interlocking Reliquaries
The Interlocking Reliquaries are conceived as modular elements designed for assembly—either stacked to form a single ceremonial urn or joined together like the interlinked segments of a chain. This capacity for reconfiguration allows the remains to be gathered, separated, or redistributed over time, accommodating a range of familial, cultural, and ceremonial practices while integrating remembrance into everyday living space. Through their interlocking logic, the reliquaries give material form to bonds of continuity and relation, reconfiguring the urn’s archetypal form into a more flexible structure that reflects the plurality, and evolving temporality of mourning.
